| After reading Hannah's blog, I got inspired and thought more about how much do I actually trust God.
A wise man once preached, "Do you want to know God's will for your life?" Not so you may know the way to receive maximum blessings and have a "happy" and "good" life but to glorify Him in everything you do. What if the things He wants you to do is something really crazy and that it would be something you would hate to do.
hmm, what if He wants me to be single all my life and wants me to be in full time ministry. Am I really willing to let go of my desires and plans for my future and say yes God I trust that You are good and say You know what You're doing?
I sort of do believe He is worth everything to live for, because from my own experience with God, whenever I surrender to Him, everything is much better. "For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me and for the gospel will save it." matt 16. but man, sure it's gonna be a tough journey. Glad that His grace is sufficient and I have Him to show and teach me things. | | |
| Life can be quite overwhelming sometimes doesn't it? Well, it's been overwhelming for me lately. Sometimes life throws something at us that is so big and paralysing and that if we don't do something about it we feel like we're gonna explode in any minute (well I do anyway). Recently, a close from mine  gave me the best advice ever - to trust God. At first, it's like yeah, that's probably the best thing I should do, but I really want to take this into my own hands and do something. Later on though, I gave it a try and you know what, there is so much freedom when you just turn to Him and trust Him. God is faithful and He is good! One thing that He spoke to me was "just lean back, lean back coz I'm gonna catch you for sure." pretty cool I thought :) Now that I am not so paralysed and free to think I can actually concentrate on my work and hand in more applications for my placement next year! eat, drink, think and sleep BP!C'mon now! Favourite person of the week: it has got to be Paul! did you know that he said he would never eat meat again if somehow it causes his brothers to stumble in his walk with God. Now when a man says he's gonna give up meat, u know he's dedicated! I thought, wow what a great man of God. But then later on he cracked a joke and said "follow my example"...and i thought hahaha, ur funny. | | |
| Summer finally is here! nice and relaxed. not doing much. I always worry having a summer that I haven't got much plans for. Because I will most likely be wasting time, playing games that I don't really want to be playing and just watch some tv series just to keep me busy. This summer I really want to be living! I want to take time out to do stuff that is constructive and have eternal consequences. Wanna work on my relationships with people. Afterall, I feel most alive when I am close to Him and following Him. For people who don't have much plans this summer either. I want to encourage You to do the same. To not waste time doing the stuff that you don't really want to be doing anyway. But to get stuck in with God, maybe to pick your bible back up and have a good read for the first time in a long time. I am always up for meetin up as well, read bibles together, worship together, hang out together.

| I once heard someone said there is a special bond between the people who follow Jesus. I find that so true. There is something so meaty that you can chew on it when two people share/worship the same God whole-heartedly. There is something so special in it that you would rather give up FUN and laughter and PLEASURE. That special bond fascinates me, coz it's there! I have it with people who are close to my heart. It's like we are experiencing the same thing but not really in the exact way, you support one another like we are on the same team fighting on the battle field. When I am injured and laid bare on the ground, you would risk your life to come and pick me up to safety...alright, maybe that was a bit extreme but you know that's true fellowship right? give up your lives for your brothers like the bible tells us so right? anyway, just want to let you know that I am truely blessed hee! coz I have experienced that sort of fellowship...I can't say it's most of the time but sometimes I do and it's amazing. I thank God and obviously those people who are living for the same goal as me :). It's special.
